Your rights

1. Privacy at a glance
General information
The following notes give a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit this website. Personal data is any data with which you can be personally identified.
Data collection on this website
Your data is collected on the one hand when you provide it to us, for example in an app suggestion or a request for Hub access. Other data is collected automatically by our IT systems when you visit the website.
2. Hosting
Servers
This website is operated on own servers of BARNICOM GmbH in Germany.
Server log files
The server records in log files: IP address, address of the previously visited website, date and time of the request, time zone difference to GMT, content of the request, HTTP status code, amount of data transferred, website of the request, browser and operating system.
Legal basis
The processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimisation of the website).
3. Upvotes and app suggestions
On the home page you can vote for planned apps (upvote) and suggest new apps. You confirm both with a link that we send you by email (double opt-in). Only with this confirmation does your vote count or your suggestion reach us. Until then your details are contained only in this link and are not stored on our server.
- Upvote: after confirmation we store your email address, the chosen app and the language of the page, so we can notify you as soon as the app is available on Odock. Each address counts only once per app.
- Suggestion: after confirmation we store the name of the app, your optional note, your email address and the language of the page and forward the suggestion to our team by email. If we add the app, we will let you know.
- Abuse protection: for every request your browser solves a short computational task. We count requests per hash of your IP address for one hour and confirmation emails per hash of the email address for 24 hours. The hashes are created with a secret key, the IP or email address cannot be derived from them.
The emails are sent via the service Brevo (Sendinblue GmbH, Berlin) as a processor. The legal basis for the notification is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time by email to info@barnicom.de. The legal basis for the abuse protection is our legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). No cookies are set.
4. Request for Hub access
With the form under "Request access" you can request access to the Odock Hub. We process your email address and, if provided, your name and company.
- Confirmation (double opt-in): you first receive an email with a confirmation link that is valid for 7 days. Your details are contained in this link and are not stored on our server until you confirm.
- After confirmation: your request is sent to our team by email, and you receive an acknowledgement.
- Abuse protection: so that nobody can use the form to fill other people's mailboxes, we store a hash of the email address for 24 hours and a hash of every used confirmation link for 7 days. The computational task and the per-IP-hash counting described in section 3 apply as well.
The emails are sent via the service Brevo (Sendinblue GmbH, Berlin) as a processor. The legal basis is taking steps prior to entering into a contract at your request (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR).
5. Your rights in detail
